Ek Deewana Tha is a Bollywood romantic drama film, written and directed by Gautham Menon, featuring Prateik Babbar and Amy Jackson, in her Bollywood debut, in the lead roles. It is the remake of Gautham Menon's own Tamil, Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa, also remade in Telugu as Ye Maya Chesave with a different cast and climax, featuring soundtrack and film score composed by AR Rahman, while the cinematography and editing are handled by MS Prabhu and Anthony Gonsalves respectively.
