We've learnt Anil Ambani owned RelianceDreamWorks has garnered 11 Oscar Nominations for 3 of their films: War Horse, The Help and Real Steel. This is the first time an Indian owned company has been nominated in such a big way at the Oscars.
The Best Film category that nominates 9 films has two films from the Reliance DreamWorks stable- War Horse and The Help.
Steven Spielberg directed War Horse has been nominated in 6 categories that include The Best Picture, Sound Editing, Sound Mixing, Original Score (John Williams), Art Direction and Cinematography.
The Help has been nominated for The Best Picture, Best Actress ( Viola Davis), Best Supporting Actress (Jessica Chastain and Octavia Spencer).
Hugh Jackman starrer sci- fi thriller Real Steel has been nominated for Best achievement in Visual Effects.
War Horse releases in India on 10th February.
